Greetings!
Welcome to our second issue of the Small Box News! If you are not familiar with Small Box, let me take a moment to introduce ourselves. The company was founded by Jeb Banner and Joe Downey in January 2006 to provide web design and marketing services to companies in the Indianapolis area. PJ Christie just recently joined the team to oversee Sales and Project Management.
Our mission is to provide professional websites, Internet marketing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and new media consulting services for businesses and organizations at a competitive price. Let us know how we can help your business grow.
Last month we relocated our office to Broad Ripple in the Carter Building on 6332 N. Guilford. This allows us to be centrally located within the most dynamic and vibrant creative community in the city. We would love to meet you for coffee or lunch to discuss how we can provide needed services for your company.

SmallBoxConsulting.com - our own site has been completely re-built with more information about our services, methods, client testimonials, and a blog. Our new look is in line with our same principles - to create websites that are simple, user friendly, and informative. We also wanted our existing and potential clients to see the site as a destination with a constant stream of new information posted almost daily.
Julie-Downey.com - Julie is a Realtor for F.C. Tucker here in Indianapolis and she needed a site that looked professional and enabled client communications and Realtor management. This is the first site we have built using our Realtor Resource Kit which will launch as it's own website in the coming month. Our goal is to work with local Realtors to provide them with the tools to rise above the competition in this increasingly difficult housing market. We also worked hard to optimize the site for search engines.
TaxesAnytime.com - Fiscal Tax Company launched this site to feed their online tax preparation system. It promotes and supports their overall online campaign, however the previous site was difficult to find in standard search queries. In response, Small Box re-designed the site and implemented their 9 step process for Search Engine Optimization, and now when searching for "taxes company" or "Indianapolis tax filing", the taxesanytime.com site comes up on the first page of major search engines.
JosephsImports.com - Mike Joseph is probably the most knowledgeable person in the city about Oriental Rugs and his store has thousands of beautiful rugs to choose from. Our site captures the spirit and mystery inherent in the product, and delivers valuable information and resources for rug care and purchasing. Over time we will be expanding Joseph's online database of Semi Antique and Antique rugs.
New Services
We are striving to provide the kinds of services that people really need, so in response to general interest, please consider the following new programs:
Web Packages - We are now offering complete websites for as low as $500. We know not all businesses can afford a custom built website so we have introduced template driven sites that may meet your company or organizations needs for a smaller cost. Our custom built websites start at $2000.
SEO packages - We've been hearing from customers that they require the kind of expertise that will get their site listed on the largest search engines for relevant searches. We have created a 9 step process that will improve any site's Search Engine Response, that we apply after a low cost analysis. Our SEO packages start at only $200.
Web Medic - You need web services and don't have a lot of time or money. By popular demand we have added a new service called Web Medic, where we come to you with a laptop and our specialized expertise in web design and marketing. There is no long term commitment beyond a minimum $200 start up cost and we guarantee results. Call 258-7818 for pricing and availability with discounts for artists and non-profits.
Upcoming Projects
We have more on the way! Small Box is stretching our marketing muscle and getting involved in new and exciting areas.
Fiscal Tax - We are launching a marketing effort and creating a training program for the upcoming tax season. We are going to be enhancing their site with audio and video, create an online training module for their tax preparation staff and expanding their Send a Friend coupon to create new opportunities for Broad Ripple businesses. Stay tuned!
Nuvo - We have continued to fine-tune and improve Nuvo.net in partnership with their staff and publisher Kevin McKinney. We are about to re-launch the site with many visual and functional improvements.
Musical Family Tree - Our labor of love has borne fruit, specifically Delicious Berries, our first compilation. A partnership with Affirmation Records has also produced the Mysteries of Life new album Beginning to Move. We are setting up an online store and shopping cart system to make all this great music available for purchase of cd's and individual tracks for download. Our second MFT Festival will be October 20 - 21 at Radio Radio and Big Car Gallery. More information including the line up is available here.
Franklin College and Media Sauce- Jeb has entered into a relationship with Media Sauce, a Carmel Indiana advertising company, to oversee the transition of taking Franklin College's various print media online. This convergence project is a perfect fit for Jeb after Small Box's success in re-building local Alt-weekly Nuvo's website.
