Ben's Biography

Born in Key West, Fla., Ben holds a BA and MA in Philosophy from Notre Dame and University of Toronto, respectively. Ben brings to the Small Box team his expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) services. He has a real knack for uncovering those hidden keywords that people are using in Google that can help them find you. He has been cranking out Search Engine Reports that our clients find useful in maximizing their potential in this competitive market. When not working on Internet Marketing, Ben acts as controller and general business manager. This makes him the most popular guy in the office because he signs all our checks!

Ben's Top 5 Strengths in StrengthsFinder 2.0

  • Learner :: Ben loves to learn and the process is especially exciting for him. He is energized by the steady and deliberate journey from ignorance to competence. The thrill of the first few facts, the early efforts to recite or practice what he has learned, the growing confidence of a skill mastered—this is the process that entices him. It enables Ben to thrive in dynamic work environments where he is asked to take on short project assignments and is expected to learn a lot about the new subject matter in a short period of time and then move on to the next one.
  • Analytical :: Ben's Analytical strength challenges other people: “Prove it. Show me why what you are claiming is true.” He does not necessarily want to destroy other people’s ideas, though he does want to ensure that their theories be sound. He likes data because they are value free and have no agenda. He searches for patterns and connections to understand how certain patterns affect one another. He peels the layers back until, gradually, the root cause or causes are revealed.
  • Relator :: Ben's Relator strength pulls him toward people he already knows. He does not necessarily shy away from meeting new people, but he does derive a great deal of pleasure and strength from being around his close friends. He is comfortable with intimacy and, once the initial connection has been made, he deliberately encourages a deepening of the relationship. Ben wants to understand other's feelings, goals, fears and dreams. This kind of closeness implies a certain amount of risk, but he is willing to accept that risk.
  • Responsibility :: Ben's Responsibility strength compels him to take psychological ownership for anything he commits to, and whether large or small, he feels emotionally bound to follow it through to completion. His conscientiousness and impulse for doing things right combine to create a reputation for dependability. When assigning new responsibilities, people often look to Ben first because they know it will get done.
  • Restorative :: Ben loves to solve problems. Whereas some are dismayed when they encounter yet another breakdown, Ben can be energized by it. He thoroughly enjoys the challenge of analyzing the symptoms, identifying what is wrong, and finding the solution. He finds great satisfaction in bringing things back to life. Ben relishes the rush he gets from identifying the undermining factor(s), eradicating them, and restoring something to its true glory.
