SmallBox's Boxer CMS  

A Content Management System (CMS) is a password-protected area where you can update the content of your website. As a young company (way back in '06) we looked into using other CMS solutions but found them all to be restrictive or lacking. Many were bloated "everything but the kitchen sink" solutions, bogged down with all kinds of stuff no one would ever use — so we built our own and call it Boxer.

Custom Web Solutions

We also offer custom solutions for clients. Sometimes this is an e-commerce store like DrTodds.com. Other times it's a data-driven website with graphs and reporting features like MillionDollarList.org or a website that integrates with an iPhone app like BrownCounty.com.

We have a lot of experience building custom solutions. If we aren't confident in our ability to provide the solution then we will recommend a partner company. We only take on custom work when we know we can make it a success.

Technical Stuff

SmallBox is an Open Source shop, meaning we work on the LAMP platform — Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. We rigorously test our sites in all modern browsers including Internet Explorer 7, and 8, Firefox 2, and 3, Safari and Chrome.
