1.  A concept of our understanding of the entire session and the interaction of the user, from finding your site on a search engine to conversion.

def.- Understanding and facilitating user experience is key to internet marketing. If someone wants to buy your product but finding your site in the search engine or paying for your product online is difficult or confusing then you're likely to lose your sale.

Make the transition from search engine to sales page as smooth as possible and you're likely to be surprised by the resulting benefits.  The key to the success of online stores like iTunes is their ease of use. Why would anyone buy music that they could get for free? Because it's easy. 

If you're ranking better than your competitors on Google, and you site attractive to look at and easy to navigate, you're going to outperform your competitors in terms of how they're leveraging internet marketing potentials. That is almost a statistical certainty. And that is what we're talking about when we talk about the importance of understanding user-experience.
