Small Box Charges Full Speed Ahead in 2010

We've taken a couple months away from the newsletter, hope you haven't missed our riveting insights or found yourself up at night wondering, is the team at Small Box busy enough these days?

Most definitely busy. Our design staff has been putting together the best work in our history lately, our programmers are building some interactive e-commerce tools, and our operations have been realigned to focus on production over project management.

But here's the good news:

Small Box is now 4

Hard to believe but it's true. Jeb Banner and Joe Downey called the company Small Box as a reaction to the super sized trends in business. Since then we have worked with over 200 businesses, hired 13 employees with no turnover, and our mission stays the same:

Good design will help your branding and improve the usability of your site.

Content Management gives you the keys to your website and helps you react to changes in the marketplace without expensive retooling of your site.

Search Engine Optimization will get you search engine page ranking results you need and steal business from your competition.

Confessions of an Unapologetic Platform Agnostic

Jeb was having lunch with his buddy and "Social Media guru" Kyle Lacy the other day. Somehow they started talking about their idiosyncratic fondness for using pen and paper as their CRM (Customer Relationship Management) "software". By the end of lunch Jeb realized he was a full blown Platform Agnostic. More>>

In Praise of Print

It felt a bit odd for Jeb to write this post. After all, he runs a web company which means he works almost exclusively with digital media. Yet Jeb just loves print. Jeb predicts that the superior user experience of the printed word means it will not only be around for a long time but also remain one of the most popular media for the foreseeable future. More>>

How Facebook Improved Our Quality of Life

People talk a lot about the power of social media. Mostly it's just talk, no real examples. Here's one that dramatically improved the quality of our lives here at Small Box. More>>

National Episcopal Health Ministries

NEHM
With health care being the foremost issue on the public mind, National Episcopal Health Ministries chose a uniquely opportunistic time to evaluate its old website and recognized the need for a change. NEHM is a pioneering health ministry organization leading the way in the promotion of health ministry in Episcopal Congregations.

Their team envisioned the new site as a tool that would allow them to better connect with health ministries throughout the country, and to be an unprecedented resource in health ministry information and education.

Our team designed a warm and engaging site that embodies the organizations message of health and wholeness. Usability and ease-of-use were highly important features, and the layout was structured to create a natural flow throughout each section of the site.

The final result is a world class site and a productive tool for NEHM and its constituents.
