John Fernkas

Super Intern

innovator, code crafter, office cleaner

SmallBoxer since: October 2010

Favorite thing about working at SmallBox? Learning new things and meeting new people. The team is amazing and the eccentric culture is even better. Being apart of the SmallBox team has been such an adventure and so much fun!

What do you geek out on? Writing code, brainstorming my next big idea, family and friends, and remote control helicopters.

What would you do if you weren't working at SmallBox? Going to school. (Although I am doing it now while working at SmallBox after school!)

When you're not SmallBoxing, you're most likely: going to school, spending time on the water, coding, and sleeping.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever gotten? "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" —Franklin D. Roosevelt

Favorite band: That's a hard question to answer — so many! Possibly Coldplay?

Favorite place in Broad Ripple: Bazbeaux Pizza and SmallBox! Oh and the Monon of course!

Longest you can go without internet: 4 days in summer when we lost power after a big storm. That was unwillingly though. I wish I could unplug myself every once and a while!

What is the meaning of life? To make a difference in your own way.

What's your ninja superpower? Sleeping

What's your proudest achievement? As of right now, having an internship at SmallBox.

Favorite internet meme: Damn you Autocorrect

Favorite movie: Ferris Bueller's Day Off just to name one. I have many more.

Google/Apple/Facebook/Amazon — which one do you like the most and why? Apple of course! Apple makes things so simple. Without Apple A LOT of things would not be possible today!
