Central Indiana Community Foundation, a public charitable foundation serving Central Indiana, needed an easily-navigated website that could handle a wealth of content to enable them to speak to all of their audiences.
Challenge
With so many charitable options and great stories to tell about the work they do, CICF needed a website design that could handle a wealth of content. They wanted an easily navigated, appealing design that would convey clear paths for users to engage with one of their many programs or branches.
The goal of the redesign was to reach out to four audiences: portfolio managers, donors, non-profits, and the community. CICF wanted portfolio managers to know how much value CICF provides to large donors, and how flexible and creative they can be as partners. Meanwhile, they wanted donors to have easy access to all of the amazing stories and successesCICF has set into motion in Central Indiana. They wanted non-profits to be reaffirmed that applying for a grant through CICF is an easy and essential step for all serious non-profits in the Central Indiana community.
CICF also wanted to make the online presence of their various branches and satellites more vivid and distinct — like Women's Fund — so that each could speak to its own audience.
Solution
The biggest challenge with this site was design related. Our design and planning team created interactive wireframes and tested them with users to ensure our proposed site structure made sense and served CICF's message and goals.
