Challenge
Kokomo Opalescent Glass (KOG) needed a rich e-commerce platform in order to manage their large glass catalog, as well as design elements that complemented their stunning products. Their old site had no e-commerce and was difficult to use and update.
Solution
SmallBox conducted extensive site planning for KOG, including gathering assets from KOG employees, performing competitive research, touring the glass factory, creating detailed sitemaps and wireframes and testing those wireframes with users. Following the robust planning phase, SmallBox designed the new website to look both classic and modern, befitting a 100+ year old company that was going through an internal rebirth. To manage the online store areas, SmallBox customized the CS Cart e-commerce platform to power the shopping cart and Customer Relationship Management system.
